I am an elementary ESOL teacher in Georgia- which is a member of the WIDA consortium.  We take the ACCESS language proficiency test each year, and it seems to be an accurate method of assessing proficiency.

My question is this:  Have any of you found something that can be used throughout the year to monitor language acquisition progress?  I've googled for so long my head is spinning and I can't find anything.

    All suggestions are appreciated!!  :)

    Hi Christina,

Have you looked into the MODEL?  It's also a WIDA assessment, so it correlates with the scores on ACCESS.  The drawback of MODEL, in my opinion, is it isn't really designed to give just a single domain (L,S,R,W) if you only want to progress monitor one domain.
